Met League - Claybury

Well done to everyone who made it to Claybury today and to the athletes that took part.  We were a little bit light on numbers, due to a lot of illness and injuries but great runs by everyone who competed.  Special congratulations to those who were taking part in a cross country fixture for the club for the first time.  Claybury is one of the toughest courses and definitely the trickiest location to get to, so it gets easier from now one!

The highlight of today's racing must go to Tom Mythen who won the u13 boys race in his first ever appearance for the club.  Charlie Brook came 2nd in the U15 boys (23rd in the junior men's) and Ella Fryer came 2nd in the U20s (34th in the senior women's).  Charlie Richardson didn't arrive on time for his U17 race so was a guest entry into the senior men's race and came a very creditable 159th out of the huge field of 380.

Our best team result was the junior men who came a very good 6th (and 16th) out of 28 teams.

Full results for St Mary's are below.   We had about 15 athletes who were originally hoping to run today so fingers crossed we will see some of you at the next round - I will send out details in the next few days.  One more reminder - please keep your race number for future Met League races.

Senior men: Charlie Richardson - 159th (u17 guest)
